Pinotin
Pinotin is a hybrid grape variety created from a cross between Frühburgunder and Dornfelder. It is grown primarily in Germany and is known for producing deeply coloured wines with a rich and expressive profile.
Wines made from Pinotin often show aromas of dark berries such as black cherry, blackcurrant, and plum, together with hints of spice and herbs. The palate is typically full, with a good balance between fruit and acidity and with light tannins that can support ageing.
Because it is well adapted to cool climates and shows useful disease resistance, Pinotin is an attractive variety for organic viticulture in northern Europe.
