Cabaret Noir
Cabaret Noir is a relatively new hybrid grape variety with parentage linked to Cabernet Sauvignon and Reichensteiner. The grapes develop a deep blue to almost black colour and can produce wines with notes of ripe blackberry, plum, and subtle spice.
In red wine, Cabaret Noir can bring both colour and depth together with a smooth texture and a satisfying structure. In rosé production, its dark skins can also give a delicate salmon to pink hue along with bright red-fruit character and freshness.
That combination of intensity, elegance, and versatility makes Cabaret Noir especially interesting for cool-climate winegrowing.
